PERSONALITY: Silas is a man's man. He likes fixing things like broken pipes, old cars, redoing his place, building a little white picket fence for a little old lady that has a hawt granddaughter, etc. Silas prefers action movies over sappy romance to anyone’s face. His passion rests with the latest in electronics and entertainment, never turning down going to a new movie, reading a new hot list book, or playing the latest gaming console. He likes his women ready and willing, preferably naked at his beck and call and his beer cold. He doesn’t like the thought of being tied down to any one person; he actually fears it because he is not all that he seems to be. To everyone he is confidant, a well versed player of emotions and physicality and easy going. To himself he is too much of something for true comfort, too little of something for any real love to be shown his way, and unwilling to let anyone in to see his inconsistencies for fear of being hurt.

Silas could be on the verge of being well liked by just about anyone, but he can also be on the verge of being hated by them just as much. This man is capable of being the best friend one minute, and then the next on seeing a moment of weakness will tell the blunt truth and play upon the weakness. Silas never lies, unless it’s to his benefit. If it hurts someone, so be it, it’s their fault. He is also rather playful, and would rather flirt than carry on any kind of serious conversation. In fact, he flirts so much, he doesn’t quite know when to stop, or if he would even want to. He’ll flirt with a two year old as much as he would an 80 year old woman, but he’d only really try hard in the age bracket of 18-45 if they looked good.

He'll try just about anything once, but whether or not he comes back to it is dependent upon the impression it made on him. If it was a bad impression, he would avoid it like the plague unless there was some hope of turning a bad into a good, then he would try to transfer the bad into good. A mediocre experience usually leaves him wanting more and he is more than likely going to leave these people or things alone that fall into this category. A good impression to Silas, no matter what his conscience might say, is worth forever going back to that person or thing that left such on him until that person or thing gets too attached or addictive.

Curiosity gets him into trouble more often than not. This leads him more than any other emotion he may have, other than lust. He has been with so many women that he has lost count, but if you ask him he will give you an answer that is fitting to your personality or what you may want. The true count is rather high as he gets bored easily, because most women show him only a two dimensional person. His curiosity is not kept by simpering, whining and just sex. Although, sex may help the woman’s cause.

Silas is often seen as an ass. He knows what he wants when he wants it and goes after it no matter the cost. He has had few true friends, and none know his inner self. People at work see him as a businessman, an impossible and constant flirt, and thinking of himself as high and mighty, lording over the others no matter what their status. At play Silas is stubborn, mystery, intrigue, and curiosity which is all he needs to pick up anything he wants in a woman usually. At home he is easy-going, watching games or catching up on the latest entertainment without the rustle and bustle of the office surrounding him. His nearly Jekyll and Hyde personality is so common place to him now that it hardly wears him out or slips unless an emergency or a quite unexpected event happens.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND:
Janet Bouvier was one of a kind. She had the looks of a long respected and loved cousin more than six times removed in the bloodline. Her uncanny appearance to the former first lady was probably what drew the most attention, and she often told them to call her J so that her name might be closer to Jacqueline. She always said that the Bouviers came from a long line of French royalty, just as her forefathers claimed. They were rich, old school rich, the kind of green that smelled of plantations and mansions across the sea. This era of Bouviers never knew how they had gotten to be so rich; they just kept the money coming in by investments in businesses and sometimes the stock market.

Janet was used to getting her own way, being free of the cage that her parents made for her one summer at the early age of sixteen by running away. She soon fell in love with the uniform and found ways to stay near a base if not on a base anywhere that she deemed worthy enough for her presence. In a couple of weeks she was living with General John Hawkins on Red River Army base in Texas, an elderly army man who took pity on the girl and called her parents, who were in California at the time. They let her stay the summer there on the base, then enrolled her into a private school the following September.

When she was 17, Janet met Greg Bowers, a 22 year old private stationed at the nearest army base. She fell in love. At 18, she was pregnant; before August was through she was married to Greg. Janet being the only heir to the Bouvier fortune, her little family would never have to worry about much. Greg kept climbing up the hierarchal ladder in the army, and Janet stayed at home to take care of their baby boy, Silas. The life of an army brat, so to speak, wasn’t always an easy one. They had to move around a lot, friends were lost, nannies and housekeepers changed, it seemed as if nothing ever stayed the same.

Never staying more than five years in one place, made Silas a rather hard, independent and selfish child. The inconsistencies of friendships on all parties made him grow rather insecure and shy. This shyness did not last very long, as Silas loved attention and being shy didn’t get him any. Silas became a flirt at the age of 5 with the ladies, often learning from his dad on how to do so and being praised by the ladies and his mother when he tried.

At the age of 7 Silas found himself with a baby sister, Genie. Instead of flirting with her he began playing and trying to take care of her himself. Often he wouldn’t allow the nanny near her, or Janet. Again they moved, and Silas was thrust into a new party of friends. He missed his old ones, but soon began to gain others. After a year, they moved again. Silas at an early age was learning how to become and excellent player of emotions and keeping others at an arms length so he wouldn’t become hurt himself. The child was rather bitter, and still scared that no one would ever learn to truly care for him. His mother was a lover of movies, and she would often sit with Silas to watch all the new releases. Silas learned more from the actors on how to keep everyone at bay and second guessing his actions. His love for movies grew into love for the latest in anything entertainment wise.

He grew up, being the top of his class, helping Genie all that he could with her hurts over moving so much and her classes. Silas never truly understood the meaning of attachment. If he didn’t want to be around someone he would just push them away, become mean to them until they left. At the age of 13 he had his first sexual experience with a woman of 16. He was hooked. His flirtations and independent manners set him above all the other boys of his age. He began having relations with numerous girls, and Silas being the favorite and often talking himself out of trouble, was never reprimanded.

At the age of 14 his mother gave him a set of twins to also take care of. His little brothers, Thomas and Frank, were more to handle than Genie ever was. Even so, he loved them more than anything. It was at this time that Janet began to drink, a lot, and she would often go out, leaving the children at home with the nanny or just with Silas until Greg came home. Soon there was never a day that she wasn’t drunk. Silas seeing this, begged his father to get her some help, Greg thought he could handle it on his own. Six months into her alcoholic ways, Janet in a drunken stupor, told Silas that she hated her life, hated her children and couldn’t understand why she wasn’t living the life of a debutante like in the books. She would have much rather been a movie actress. Silas was devastated, floored when she began screaming and yelling for them to get out of her house.

Greg came home and took her away. He put her in the hospital to get help and retired from the army. Silas was 17 when all this happened. He became even more distant from others. With Greg being home the house was run like an army base: getting up at the crack of dawn for exercise then breakfast. Greg took them to school 15 minutes beforehand so they could socialize. He picked them up right as the bell rang, took them home for a snack, homework, practice at whatever sport they were picking up, a couple of hours of playtime, baths, reading, then bed. The schedule was built into the kids, and Silas never had any problems with trying to break it.
Silas graduated with honors, and vowed to go to London for school. His love for entertainment had been so grand that he wanted to be right there with it. He wanted to be a journalist; he wanted to be right there with the actors and actresses. In order to get aid from his family and father’s fortune though, he had to put on a front that he was going to business school. Enrolling in the best one in London, he double majored in Business Management and Journalism. Gaining his bachelor’s degree, he went on to obtain a Master’s at the same school.

At the age of 27 Silas was working at Maxim after a full year internship there. He got in good with some women there, who pressed their husbands to hire him on as wives could do. Silas quickly got bored of London, and wanted the more glamour and glitz of covering Hollywood. He moved back to the States, ignoring his father, always calling his sister and brothers and never recognizing that he had ever had a mother. He landed several different jobs, finally settling on being the Assistant Editor of Entertainment for Elle magazine at 30 years old.
